Introduction
Hello, I’m Collins Mnangagwa.
I am a Zimbabwean engineer, entrepreneur and mining executive. As Group Chairman of ZIMCN Investments, I lead a diversified business group spanning gold mining, energy distribution, drilling and exploration, and logistics.
My path began with an engineering education at North China Electric Power University in Beijing, where I studied Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering. That technical grounding still shapes how I lead: understand the problem, build the right team and execute with discipline.

Engineering instilled a respect for process, measurement and execution, carried into project timelines, safety standards, financial management and stakeholder communication.

Strong teams need clear direction, genuine trust and the freedom to do their work well, with leadership taking responsibility for decisions and holding everyone to a consistent standard.

The infrastructure a company builds, the people it employs and the local suppliers it engages are all part of what a business contributes — deliberately, not incidentally.

Innovation means finding better ways to solve real problems, whether that is modernising processing methods at a mine, improving logistics efficiency, or approaching unfamiliar challenges with engineering thinking.
Beyond the boardroom
Based in Zimbabwe with roots in Mutoko, Collins maintains a strong interest in mentorship and skills development for the next generation of Zimbabwean entrepreneurs and engineers.
